Your logo is the signature of your business, it’s your identity
A long time ago, most of the population was illiterate. So businesses put pictures on their sign. If the sign had a mug of ale, it was a tavern for example, and of course there’s the barber pole which you still see today.
Thankfully most people can read today, so the little icons that go along with your name aren’t as important. In fact, you don’t have to have an icon, as sometimes just the right typeface will do. Your logo says who you are, and gives a potential customer a feel for your business. It’s quite possible to do that by typography and color alone.
And if you really want an icon to go with your name, there are tens of thousands of icons readily available for purchase, at all price levels.
Logo design starts at a flat rate of $350, and unless you want to get really crazy, that’s my cost. If you want to add an icon, I can point you to the trusted vendors I buy artwork from, and let you do the legwork. After all, you likely know more what you’ll like than I do. Simply purchase the artwork you want, send it over and I’ll incorporate that into your design. If you want to try a few different pieces of art prior to purchase, we can do that as well. Or for completely hassle-free service, I do the search for art for you, for an added charge.
Your logo delivered in multiple formats for nearly any usage, plus business card, letterhead & envelope design
Once your logo is completed, you get it in several different formats for all the uses you might need – from your website and advertisements, to advertising specialty items. I also toss in business card, letterhead and envelope design at no extra charge.
The important thing in my opinion is to keep your logo universal enough that you don’t feel the urge to change it every few years. The longer your logo is out there, the more effective it becomes. And that’s something you just can’t buy.
